MariMatic Oy was chosen to build a MetroTaifun Automatic Waste Collection System to Park Zaryadye in Moscow, Russia. The capital of Russia has been developed for people to live in a comfortable and green environment.

Moscow is famous for its dozens of parks, which are the lungs of this metropolis. The newest park, Park Zaryadye was opened by the President Putin at the Moscow 870 years' celebration 9 September 2017. Sustainable technologies will help creating an artificial microclimate in different parts of the park, which is located right next to the Red Square in the heart of Moscow.

MariMatic, together with the Moscow-based partner Telekom, developed the ultimate waste collection solution to serve the park in collecting solid waste, but also to meet the park's requirements for sustainability and energy efficiency. The use of MetroTaifun Automatic Waste Collection System in transferring solid waste underground enables the reduction of emissions (Co2, NOx) in the area, due to the minimal waste truck traffic.

"Park Zaryadye visitors can enjoy livable and clean surroundings, since using the underground waste disposal in the park, waste truck traffic is eliminated, and also minimized in the historical center of Moscow city. Emissions and back and forth traffic caused by heavy collection vehicles are a significant problem in the cities", explains Ismo Viitanen, Vice President, Sales & Projects at MariMatic Oy.

MetroTaifun projects are also ongoing in Helsinki, Sweden, Norway and China, and in Saudi-Arabia where MariMatic builds the world’s biggest vacuum conveying system. A system for collecting laundry, in addition to waste, is implemented in Malmi Hospital in Finland. MariMatic supplies vacuum conveying systems also for transporting food waste in the food industry and kitchens. In Russia, MariMatic's Taifun vacuum conveying solution for the food industry is used in several food processing plants and marine galleys.

MariMatic Oy is a Finnish cleantech company and part of MariGroup. MariMatic has developed leading vacuum conveying systems since 1983 and has provided around 1,000 systems for various industries in over 40 countries.
