Kruunuvuorenranta’s Waste Transfer Terminal in Helsinki has been rewarded with the Year’s Concrete Structure 2017 Award. The award was granted on the basis of skilful architect and structural design as well as quality construction and execution. The competition is held by Betoniteollisuus ry in Finland, and the purpose of the highly valued competition is to promote Finnish concrete architecture, technique and building. The winner is chosen based on who represents the best Finnish concrete construction.
The Kruunuvuorenranta Waste Transfer Terminal was also rewarded with the Concrete Facade Architecture 2017 Award. Marimatic Oy has delivered the MetroTaifun Automatic Waste Collection System to the Kruunuvuorenranta area. The system was taken into use on March 2017.
